The Snowy Day

One of my favorite winter books is "The Snowy Day". So, of course I had to include some activities to go along with the book during our Daily 5 this week. Here a few pictures of what we did...

Building Vocabulary with a word puzzle activity.


A few of my kids chose "The Snowy Day" word search for their Word Work activity.

We also had a writing activity "On a snowy day I would..."
....build a penguin. (snow penguin that is)

  1. Whenever my kids are stuck indoors, we always put on an audiobook to accompany whatever they're doing. There's lots of great sites to download them, but we use this one a lot because all of the stories are free and original.
